About Hallie
Dr. Smith earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Mississippi State University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Psychology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine–Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she gained experience working in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program and the Neurobehavioral Unit. She worked as a licensed psychologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute for two years before relocating to Mississippi. She is licensed as a psychologist in Mississippi and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctoral (BCBA-D). Dr. Smith has 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has been licensed as a psychologist for eight years.Dr. Smith currently serves as the Program Coordinator of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University, where she also works as an Associate Professor. She previously served as President of the Behavior Analysis Association of Mississippi. Dr. Smith lives in Starkville, Mississippi, with her daughter and her Golden Retriever, Bennett. When not at work, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her daughter, playing pickleball, reading, and attending MSU sporting events.
