Dr. Sarah Irby received her PhD in School Psychology from The University of Memphis in 2014 after completing her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Munroe-Meyer Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She and her family returned to the Memphis-area in 2015, where she worked at the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities before going into private practice in 2018. Dr. Irby is a licensed psychologist in Mississippi (2018) and Tennessee (2015), as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Dr. Irby is also a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of the MA/EdS School Psychology Program at The University of Memphis, where she teaches several graduate-level courses, an undergraduate course in behavior psychology, and provides clinical supervision. When Dr. Irby is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing board games, and going to Pure Barre classes.

Dr. Bradley earned a Ph.D. in psychology, with a concentration in school psychology, from the University of Memphis. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is licensed as a psychologist both in Tennessee and Mississippi. Dr. Bradley has several years of experience working as a psychologist in public schools, private practice, university clinics, and as a consultant. Dr. Bradley is the Training Director of IPS's psychology doctoral internship program. She has special interest and training in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder, however, she enjoys working with a variety of referral concerns in completing psychological assessments. Dr. Bradley is a proud Memphian and lives in East Memphis with her husband, three young children, and two dogs.

Dr. Norfolk earned a Ph.D. in psychology, with a concentration in school psychology, from the University of Memphis. He completed a pre-doctoral internship in Lauderdale County Schools in West Tennessee and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He is licensed as a psychologist both in Tennessee and Mississippi. Dr. Norfolk has 3 years of experience working as a child psychologist in a university-based clinic, as well as several years of experience in school settings. Dr. Norfolk most recently worked at UTHSC’s Center for Developmental Disabilities and provided clinical supervision and training under the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LEND) Program. Dr. Norfolk has special interest and training in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, however, he enjoys working with a variety of referral concerns in completing psychological assessments. Outside of IPS, Dr. Norfolk provides evaluations for Tennessee Early Intervention Services (TEIS) and serves as an early childhood mental health consultant with Porter-Leath. Dr. Norfolk lives in Olive Branch with his wife and two young children. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.

Dr. Smith earned a Ph.D. in school psychology from Mississippi State University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Psychology at the Johns Hopkins/University School of Medicine-Kennedy Krieger Institute where she gained experience working in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program and the Neurobehavioral Unit. She worked as a licensed psychologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute for 2 years before relocating back to Mississippi. She is licensed as a psychologist in Mississippi and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral. Dr. Smith has 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has been licensed as a psychologist for 6 years. Dr. Smith currently serves as the Program Coordinator of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University where she also works as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Smith was also the previous past-president of the Behavior Analysis Association of Mississippi. Dr. Smith lives in Starkville, Mississippi with her Golden Retriever, Bennett. In her free time she likes to play pickleball, read, and spend time with friends at MSU sporting events!

Dr. Emma is a postdoctoral fellow and RBT at Irby Psychological Services. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and English at The University of Missouri in June of 2018. She worked for a non-profit providing parent consultation and behavior interventions for children with developmental disabilities. She is a doctoral candidate in psychology with a concentration in school psychology at the University of Memphis. She currently lives in Memphis with her husband and their dog. In her free time she enjoys reading and going to the movies.

Dr. Kristen earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, where she also earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She holds a master’s degree in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University and completed her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Services at Montana State University Billings. She completed her doctoral internship at Counseling and Psychological Services at Montana State University. Her dissertation focused on developing relationally focused interventions to support healthy siblings of children with cancer. Dr. Kristen has diverse clinical experience across outpatient clinics, university counseling centers, and medical settings, where she has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her clinical interests include relational psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and supporting children and families coping with mood concerns, learning and attentional challenges, cognitive and developmental differences, and family stressors. She is passionate about improving family functioning and providing developmentally attuned care that fosters resilience and emotional connection. When Dr. Kristen is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, running, and playing pickleball, as well as exploring new restaurants and enjoying live music.
Predoctoral Psychology Interns

Izzy is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at the Florida Institute of Technology. She is currently completing her predoctoral internship at Irby Psychological Services. Izzy’s clinical and research interests include trauma, child advocacy, psychological assessment, and juvenile justice. When not at work, Izzy enjoys attending movies, spending time outdoors, and engaging in creative crafting activities.

Mark s an intern pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. He holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University. Mark has five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adult clients in various clinical settings. He has a special interest in addressing the needs of underserved clients with behavioral and mental health challenges. When not at work, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors and watching movies with friends.

Shan is currently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. She has experience working across diverse clinical settings and is dedicated to facilitating positive change and emotional well-being in individuals across the lifespan and their families. Shan’s clinical approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and modify negative thought patterns contributing to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. She also incorporates Adlerian principles, assisting clients in exploring their life stories and early relationships to better understand how these factors influence self-perception and goals. Shan has interests in both psychotherapy and psychological assessment. When not at work, Shan enjoys traveling, trying new cuisines, and spending time outdoors.

Ashley earned a Master's in School Psychometry from Mississippi State University. With 25 years of experience as a psychometrist, she has conducted assessments in both public and private schools, as well as in hospital settings. Ashley has a special interest in administering psychological assessments that provide parents and caregivers with concrete strategies to address academic and behavioral concerns. A newcomer to Memphis, Ashley lives on Mud Island with her husband and dog. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, exploring flea markets, and binge-watching her favorite shows.
