  • Dr. Sarah Irby received her PhD in School Psychology from The University of Memphis in 2014 after completing her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Munroe-Meyer Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She and her family returned to the Memphis-area in 2015, where she worked at the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities before going into private practice in 2018. Dr. Irby is a licensed psychologist in Mississippi (2018) and Tennessee (2015), as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Dr. Irby is also a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of the MA/EdS School Psychology Program at The University of Memphis, where she teaches several graduate-level courses, an undergraduate course in behavior psychology, and provides clinical supervision. When Dr. Irby is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing board games, and going to Pure Barre classes.

  • Dr. Bradley earned a Ph.D. in psychology, with a concentration in school psychology, from the University of Memphis. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is licensed as a psychologist both in Tennessee and Mississippi. Dr. Bradley has 5 years of experience working as a school psychologist in public schools, as well as several years of experience in clinical practice settings. Dr. Bradley returned to the Mid-South in 2020. She previously worked in Nashville, where she owned a private practice and was also the director of a psychological assessment clinic. Dr. Bradley has special interest and training in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder, however, she enjoys working with a variety of referral concerns in completing psychological assessments. . Outside of IPS, Dr. Bradley teaches classes and supervises graduate psychology students at the University of Memphis and serves as an early childhood mental health consultant with Porter-Leath. Dr. Bradley lives in Memphis with her husband and two young children.

  • Dr. Norfolk earned a Ph.D. in psychology, with a concentration in school psychology, from the University of Memphis. He completed a pre-doctoral internship in Lauderdale County Schools in West Tennessee and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He is licensed as a psychologist both in Tennessee and Mississippi. Dr. Norfolk has 3 years of experience working as a child psychologist in a university-based clinic, as well as several years of experience in school settings. Dr. Norfolk most recently worked at UTHSC’s Center for Developmental Disabilities and provided clinical supervision and training under the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LEND) Program. Dr. Norfolk has special interest and training in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, however, he enjoys working with a variety of referral concerns in completing psychological assessments. Outside of IPS, Dr. Norfolk provides evaluations for Tennessee Early Intervention Services (TEIS) and serves as an early childhood mental health consultant with Porter-Leath. Dr. Norfolk lives in Olive Branch with his wife and two young children. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.

  • Dr. Smith earned a Ph.D. in school psychology from Mississippi State University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Psychology at the Johns Hopkins/University School of Medicine-Kennedy Krieger Institute where she gained experience working in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program and the Neurobehavioral Unit. She worked as a licensed psychologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute for 2 years before relocating back to Mississippi. She is licensed as a psychologist in Mississippi and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral. Dr. Smith has 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has been licensed as a psychologist for 6 years.  Dr. Smith currently serves as the Program Coordinator of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Mississippi State University where she also works as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Smith was also the previous past-president of the Behavior Analysis Association of Mississippi. Dr. Smith lives in Starkville, Mississippi with her Golden Retriever, Bennett. In her free time she likes to play pickleball, read, and spend time with friends at MSU sporting events! 

Predoctoral Psychology Interns

  • Emma is a predoctoral psychology intern and RBT at Irby Psychological Services. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and English at The University of Missouri in June of 2018. She worked for a non-profit providing parent consultation and behavior interventions for children with developmental disabilities. She is a doctoral candidate in psychology with a concentration in school psychology at the University of Memphis. She currently lives in Memphis with her husband and their dog. In her free time she enjoys reading and going to the movies.

  • Jlynn is a predoctoral intern from Richmond, VA. She attends Virginia State University, pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology. She received her Master’s in clinical psychology in 2020 and recently defended her dissertation in May 2024. Clinically, she has a diverse practicum background, including working in outpatient private practice, university counseling center, inpatient, residential, and on a PICU psychology team. In these settings, she conducted individual, group, and family therapy with both long- and short-term clients, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. She also has extensive experience in psychological testing with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Her specific focus is on minoritized children, adolescents, and their families. She primarily uses a CBT lens, but she is familiar with DBT, psychoanalytic, person-centered, and some TF-CBT techniques. She is thrilled about the opportunity to join the IPS family and continue to grow as a rising clinical psychologist! 

  • Jordan has earned an M.S. in psychology, with a concentration in school psychology and is currently in the last year of her doctoral training from the University of Memphis.  She is completing an internship at Irby Psychological Services and will graduate with her PhD in August 2025. Jordan has experience working in both school and clinical settings with all ages, ranging from preschool to high school students. Jordan has a special interest in therapy with children and families and enjoys helping her clients develop skills that can help them thrive. When Jordan is not working, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and going on walks with her kids.
