Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Requirements

  • Licensed BCBA in Mississippi

  • Ability to provide program management, staff training and support, and caregiver training and support

Position Roles and Responsibilities

Complete initial assessment and design a treatment plan to the client’s individual needs.

  • Provide training to the technician on the client’s treatment goals and behavior plan.

  • Oversee integrity of the implementation of the client’s treatment plan by the technician.

  • Assist the Director in development and implementation and ongoing evaluation of IPS’s ABA program.

  • Analyze data to effectively develop therapy suggestions.

  • Present data at the Clinical Review Meeting along with program difficulties and recommendations for program improvement.

  • Report all difficulties with workload, significant incidents, concerns and dissatisfactions to the Director.

Staff Training and Support

  • Provide ongoing training to demonstrate competencies to Registered Behavior Technicians and other Behavior Specialists in training.

  • Identify necessary competencies for Registered Behavior Technicians and provide direct therapy to clients.

  • Support director with quarterly performance reviews.

  • Regularly attend weekly meetings with the Director of Behavioral Services.

  • Regularly attend once monthly all-clinician IPS meetings.

  • Regularly attend weekly all-staff training, and on rotation present training topics or provide client team training.

Caregiver Training and Support

  • Provide ongoing training to client’s caregivers to assure the structured, natural environment necessary to implement high quality therapeutic programming.

  • Conduct bi-weekly overlaps with caregivers to ensure consistency.

  • Identify necessary competencies and provide direct objective training.
