Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Candidates will have an associates degree or higher.

Candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Must be licensed or license-eligible by start date to practice in the state of Mississippi .

Prior pediatric therapy experience working with autistic clients a plus, but not necessary

Must be willing to commute to serve our Southaven, Cleveland, and Clarksdale, MS clients.

SPECIFIC DAILY/WEEKLY/QUARTERLY TASKS:

Implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.

Use standardized measures within scope of practice to evaluate clients needs.

Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers of pediatric patients.

Educate parents and caregivers on how to help their children with daily activities.

Develop strategies to help children with sensory processing issues.

Collaborate with Occupational Therapist on client goals to better assist client’s needs.

Keep track of supervision needs/visits along with the Occupational Therapist.
